How did you came up with your sl character/sl store name?

My avie name I came up with because I had just watched Lord of the Rings and figured an “elf” like name would be cute.  My last name I chose because it was the first on the list and I’m a bit lazy when it comes to going through dropdowns.   As far as my store name goes.  A friend had been asking me what I was going to name my store.  Before I could answer, that I didn’t know, I crashed.  When I logged back in, I said BOOM (because I had crashed…but, it had a nice ring to it at the time).  I did a search and there was nothing with that name so I went with that.

Which target group do you like to reach?

Every and any.  I don’t want to appeal to just one group.  I want to make things that anyone can wear and accessorize to fit their look.  That’s why I don’t use a lot of prints.  I adore basics.

Which one was your first official creation which went into your store for sale? How did you felt at this moment?

My first actual outfit was something called Fuel.  Looking back at it now, I’m actually quite ashamed of most of my earlier work.  I’m still not totally happy with my products and I doubt I will ever be.  I think it’s what drives me though, the need to do better.  I want people to look at my stuff and go “Wow, that person is really talented.”

Did you changed the topic/content since your first start? If yes, why?

Yes, most definatley.  When I first started SL and my store, I was really into riding (speed bikes/motorcycles. Specifically a GSXR1000).  A lot of my stuff was very….umbrella girl based.  Sometimes it still is.

Do you have still time, beside your business, to explore or hanging around with friends?

Yes, I try to make time for them.  Sometimes it’s difficult but my friends make sure to scream at me until I take a break.

Do you have a style influence/muse and what keeps your motivation up the most?

In SL, quality wise, a lot but I think my oldest influence was Dazzle/Last Call.  To this day that stuff looks great.  I would love to be able to match that quality someday.

Which is your personal favorite item (of the store), explain why?

In RL I love the sailor style pants (Chloe made the best ones. Gwen Steffani’s brand came in a close second) but I prefer to wear my things low on my hips.  I edit a lot of my RL clothing.  One thing I did was change the waistline on some old US Navy pants I found a a thrift store.  To this day, they are my fave pants and I wanted something like them in SL.

Until now, which item is you bestseller?

In your eyes, which is the biggest challenge for designers?

Seams!  Seams, seams, seams. Either that or the compition. There is so much these days and it seems like everyone is out to get each other.

Your opinion about: blogs, magazine ads, conversational viral marketing; do you use one of them?

I love blogs/bloggers. I think that is a great way to market for SL. I’ve never tried magazine ads so I don’t really have an opinion on those. Viral marketing I think is great advertising especially for SL. It’s kind of the only way really, even subscribe-o matics are a form of viral marketing I think.
